Welcome to www.myfloridacfo.com,
the official Web site of the Florida Department of Financial Services.

Where do I start?

You have two choices:

  1. Browse – The FLDFS home page has been divided into three columns of interest. For answers to popular questions,  click on the links in the middle column. To find specific pages, choose a topic from the left column link bar. The buttons in the right column link to FLDFS public awareness initiatives.

  2. Search - If you know generally what you need, the search engine is probably your best choice. Enter a keyword or phase in the search box located on each portal page, then click on GO to search.

How do I get back?

  1. A direct shortcut to the Home Page is to click on FLDFS Home found in the top link bar of most pages.

  2. Back Button - To go back one page (rather than to the Home Page) use your browser's "Back" button to return to the previous page.

  3. General Navigation - Site-wide navigation is also available via the top and left side bars located on most pages throughout www.myfloridacfo.com.

How do I search for information and services?

The www.myfloridacfo.com search engine is easy to use:

  1. Search box location - The search box is located on each page.

  2. Keyword or phrase - Enter a word or phrase in the search box and click GO.

  3. Search results - The search engine will display a list of links that match the words entered in the search box. These will be ranked with the best matches at the top of the list. Simply click on a link to go to the link listed.

What file formats will I find?

Here are the three most common ones that you will encounter:

  1. HTML Files - The content in your browser window is HTML (hyper text markup language). These pages can be printed using your browser; however, the original formatting may be lost.

  2. PDF Files - Many documents are PDF (portable document format) files. The PDF format ensures that you can print publications and forms in their original format. In order to view these documents, simply download free Acrobat Reader software. Detailed instructions for downloading and installing the Acrobat Reader are available at the Adobe Web site.

  3. Word Documents - Select the .doc file you are interested in. You will be given a choice of either opening the file or saving it to your computer. If you choose “Open,” the file will be opened in a new browser window. If you choose “Save,” the file will be automatically positioned on your computer in a place that you designate.
