Florida Department of Financial Services Division of Insurance Fraud

Established by the legislature in 1976, The Division of Insurance Fraud is the law enforcement arm of the Department of Financial Services and is responsible for investigating insurance fraud; crimes associated with claim fraud, insurance premium fraud, workers’ compensation claim fraud, workers’ compensation premium avoidance and diversions, insurer insolvency fraud, unauthorized insurance entity fraud and insurance agent crimes.

The National Insurance Crime Bureau

The National Insurance Crime Bureau is a not-for-profit organization that receives support from approximately 1,000 property/casualty insurance companies. The NICB partners with insurers and law enforcement agencies to facilitate the identification, detection and prosecution of insurance criminals. The vision of the NICB is to be the preeminent organization fighting insurance fraud and crime.

Office of the Attorney General of Florida

The Attorney General is responsible for protecting Florida consumers from various types of fraud and enforcing the state’s antitrust laws.

Florida Insurance Council

The Council has been covering Florida insurance matters since 1962. As Florida’s largest insurance trade association, FIC is the voice of Florida’s insurance community. We’re committed to providing consumers, media, and public officials with information that’s pertinent and real-time.
