Hurricane Deductible Title

HURRICANE DEDUCTIBLE: Once you have located your insurance policy and have documented all damaged property and belongings using photos or video footage, it is recommended that you contact your insurance company or insurance agent as soon as possible to report the damage. Even if you think the amount of damage you sustained is under the deductible, a call to your insurance company to discuss the damage your property sustained is recommended.

Chapter 627.701, Florida Statutes allows for four alternative hurricane deductible amounts:

a. $500

b. 2% of the policy dwelling limits

c. 5% of the policy dwelling limits

d. 10% of the policy dwelling limits
