TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis released the following statement on the U.S. House passage of legislation extending the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund through 2090:

“On September 11, 2001, our brave first responders ran towards unbelievable danger without hesitation to save lives when we needed them most. These brave men and women sacrifice every day to protect our communities, and tragically, so many make the ultimate sacrifice.
