TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) & State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis met with Central Florida Urban Central Florida Urban Search & Rescue Task Force 4 (FL-4)Search & Rescue Task Force 4 (FL-4) as they were deploying to Louisiana to assist in Hurricane Ida recovery efforts. On Sunday, Hurricane Ida made landfall near Port Fourchon, Louisiana as a Category 4 storm. In addition to Central Florida Urban Search & Rescue Task Force 4, Miami-Dade County Task Force 1 (FL-1) & City of Miami Task Force 2 (FL-2) were already prepositioned to help in storm response efforts. Additional Florida US&R Task Forces are prepared to assist out-of-state if necessary.
