Office of Policy & Legislative Affairs


The Office of Policy and Planning is responsible for drafting the Department's legislative priorities, advancing special research projects for future policy initiatives, and publishing the Department’s Long-Range Program Plan (LRPP)

The Office of Legislative Affairs is responsible for coordinating and developing the Department’s legislative priorities, securing sponsors for Department initiatives, providing timely analysis of bills that impact the Department, and coordinating testimony before legislative committees.

The Office also assists legislators and their staff in resolving constituent inquiries, and provides policy recommendations to the Chief Financial Officer.
