Boiler Owner and Name Changes

In the event of a change in ownership or a business name change, Boiler Safety needs to be notified if any of the following is different:

• Location name
• Mailing address for Certificate Fee Invoices
• Mailing address for Certificates of Compliance
• Insurance changes for the Boiler and Machinery policy
• Change of Owner or Location Contact Data

If the location has closed or is going out of business, the inspecting agency must be contacted, and an inspection report submitted in order to change the status of the boiler.

If a boiler has been moved or sold to a new facility, the inspecting agency must be contacted to inspect that the boiler has been removed from its current registered address. The new location, if a place of public assembly, must be inspected by its inspecting agency and an inspection report submitted in order for the Certificate of Compliance to be changed or renewed. Location addresses for boilers cannot be changed without an inspection report stating the boiler has been moved to a new location.
