CFO Jimmy Patronis Appoints Ken Jones to the Florida SBA Investment Advisory Council

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis appointed Ken Jones to the Florida State Board of Administration (SBA) Investment Advisory Council (IAC). The IAC provides independent policy oversight of SBA’s funds and major investment responsibilities. Ken Jones’ appointment is subject to Senate confirmation and his term expires on December 12, 2023.

CFO Jimmy Patronis said, “As Florida’s CFO, I am committed to ensuring that we are good stewards of Florida’s resources and that our state finances are stable. I am pleased to appoint Ken Jones to the Florida SBA Investment Advisory Council. As the founder of many firms tasked with helping clients manage their investments, I believe his expertise, leadership, and exemplary service will transfer over with him in now aiding Floridians with their investments. I am confident Ken will serve the IAC well by putting returns first and foremost and nothing else.”

Jones has devoted the majority of his career to finance and investment management and capital deployment. Jones is the founder and managing partner of Third Lake Partners, a global private firm dedicated to investment management and capital deployment for numerous private clients.  He and his firm invest capital into a broad array of asset classes including alternative investments such as real estate, private equity, private credit and venture capital. Alongside this, he previously founded and served as Chairman and CEO of TL Capital, the asset management and investment arm for a US- based private family. Jones also has extensive experience in the legal, government, and managerial roles.
