CFO Patronis Statement on Inflation Report
~Says Americans Will Opt for “PB&Js” over “Steak” on Valentines~

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis issued the following statement on the January Consumer Price Index report which indicated inflation increased 6.4% on an annual basis.

CFO Jimmy Patronis said, “With inflation rates like these, couples are going to have to do PB&Js over steak dinners on Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately, everything is more expensive, and these figures don’t even factor in food and fuel costs. Make no mistake this was man-made crisis driven by an Administration that doesn’t understand basic economics and believes that we can print trillions of dollars to fix all the problems in the world.

“There are things that can be done to rein in inflation. We could cut rules and regulations, we can stop passing bills that tax and spend, but all of this requires a President who can actually talk to the American people, and not the teleprompter. We can’t even get a straight answers as to whether the United States shot down more balloons or something else. We need change in Washington, and until we get a new President, poor and middle-class Floridians will continue paying Biden’s inflation tax.”
