CFO Jimmy Patronis Announces Arrest of Insurance Agent for Fraud

SARASOTA, Fla. - Today, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis and the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) announce the arrest of Insurance Agent, Bryce Corey Tyminski, for alleged fraudulent insurance claims and criminal use of personal identification. Tyminski intended to defraud Americo Financial Life & Annuity Insurance Company and American Amicable Life Insurance Company of Texas out of more than $1,200.

After a complaint was received by the victim, a CID investigation revealed that on November 12, 2023, Tyminski allegedly wrote two life insurance policies with Americo Financial Life & Annuity Insurance Company and American Amicable Life Insurance Company of Texas in the victim’s name without their knowledge or consent. Tyminski also allegedly used the victim’s personal identification willfully and without their consent on the life insurance policies and allegedly used a false address, phone number, fake email account, and other false information on the application. Tyminski knowingly presented false, incomplete, and misleading information as part of an application for issuance of an insurance policy. He also willfully and without authorization fraudulently used the victim’s personal identification without their consent with the intent to deceive both insurance companies.

Tyminski was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail on charges of False and Fraudulent Insurance Claims (Application) and Criminal Use of Personal Identification. The Lee County State Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the case, and if convicted, the defendant could face up to 20 years in prison.
