CFO Jimmy Patronis Issues Statement Supporting Governor DeSantis’ Executive Order to Investigate the Second Assassination Attempt of President Trump
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Today, Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis issued a statement supporting Governor Ron DeSantis’ Executive Order to investigate the second assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump. As a member of the Florida Cabinet, CFO Patronis helps oversee the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. CFO Jimmy Patronis said, “We have a former President, who’s a Florida resident, who’s faced - not one - but two assassination attempts. After the attempt in Butler, PA, one would have thought President Trump would have been the most protected person in the world, but clearly that’s not the case. And unfortunately, the response by the higher ups in Washington left Americans with more questions, and few answers. Governor DeSantis’ action today is going to add much more transparency as to what happened, and hopefully provide the public with information on where the gaps are that allowed President Trump to once again be put into a life-threatening situation.”
