CFO Jimmy Patronis Appoints Five to the Florida Board of Funeral, Cemetery, & Consumer Services
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis announced the appointment of David Chapman, Andrew Clark, Sanjena Clay, Christian Jensen, and William Quinn to the Board of Funeral, Cemetery, and Consumer Services. The Board of Funeral, Cemetery, and Consumer Services was created within the Department of Financial Services and consists of 10 members, 9 of whom are appointed by the Chief Financial Officer and confirmed by the Senate. The remaining member of the Board is the State Health Officer or his/her designee.
David Chapman, Destin
David Chapman is a new appointee to the Board of Funeral, Cemetery, and Consumer Services. He currently owns and manages two cemeteries, a monument establishment, and a casket company. He is a licensed preneed sales agent and a licensed monument establishment sales agent. Additionally, he has recently served on the Board of Directors of the Community Bank of Mississippi.
Andrew Clark, Ocala
Andrew Clark has been reappointed to the Board of Funeral, Cemetery, and Consumer Services. He has served on the Board since 2011, most recently as its Vice-Chair. Mr. Clark obtained his license as a funeral director and embalmer in 2007 and has many years of experience in management, customer service activities, operational strategy, and field operations in the deathcare industry.
Sanjena Clay, West Palm Beach
Sanjena Clay has been reappointed to the Board of Funeral, Cemetery, and Consumer Services, on which she has served as a consumer Board member since 2021. She previously held various positions with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office since 1985. With experience in criminal justice and 40 years of experience in professional management, Ms. Clay brings a unique skillset to the Board.
Christian Jensen, Jr., Pensacola Beach
Christian Jensen has been reappointed to the Board of Funeral, Cemetery, and Consumer Services, on which he has served since 2021. Mr. Jensen is a licensed funeral director and embalmer, with over 30 years of experience in the deathcare industry. He also serves on the Advisory Council for the Northwest Florida Area Agency on Aging.
William Quinn, II, Jupiter
William Quinn is a new appointee to the Board of Funeral, Cemetery, and Consumer Services. A licensed funeral director and embalmer in Florida and additionally licensed in New York, Mr. Quinn is a fourth-generation funeral and cemetery professional. He has experience working in independently owned funeral homes and currently oversees Florida operations of affiliated funeral homes, cemeteries, and crematories owned by a large corporation. He is also an active member of the boards of the Hospice of Palm Beach County/Trustbridge Hospice Foundation and Palm Beach County Emergency Medical Services.
