CFO Jimmy Patronis: 1 in 5 Seniors are Victims of Fraud

-Offering free workshops to encourage seniors to be ‘Scam Smart’-
 

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – In his continued effort to combat financial exploitation of seniors, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis is hosting free Operation S.A.F.E. (Stop Adult Financial Exploitation) Be Scam Smart workshops in Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus counties. CFO Patronis’ Operation S.A.F.E. initiative educates seniors on how to protect and police their finances.
 
“It is my hope to bring our Operation S.A.F.E. team to every community in Florida as these workshops will help protect seniors from financial scams,” said CFO Jimmy Patronis. “One in five seniors become the victim of financial exploitation, and with these workshops our seniors, their families, and caregivers will become more aware and engaged in our efforts to help seniors fight financial scams and fraud.”
