TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis announced the appointment of Bo Rivard to the Citizens Property Insurance Corporation Board of Governors. A resident of Panama City, Rivard has more than 20 years of experience working for the families and businesses of our state.

 

CFO Jimmy Patronis said, “Bo has been a fierce advocate for both Florida families and business for more than 20 years, and I’m thrilled that he will be joining the Citizens board. He has seen first-hand the financial impact of natural disasters, and I know he will work tirelessly for every policyholder. Bo’s experience with statewide boards and commissions, as well as his private and public sector work and depth of skill, will help this board better serve each and every Floridian.”

 

Rivard is a partner at Harrison, Rivard, Duncan, & Buzzett who recently served as chairman of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission where he was a staunch proponent of conservation—the well-being of wildlife and marine resources, and the benefit of people. As an attorney, he has represented both public and private companies including those in the health care, transportation, and other regulated industries.

Rivard succeeds John McKay and his term begins immediately, expiring on July 31, 2020.
