CFO Jimmy Patronis: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Florida Chief Financial Officer
(CFO) Jimmy Patronis issued a special holiday message urging Floridians to stay
safe and to cherish the season of giving with friends and family. Also, the CFO
acknowledged America’s men and women in uniform and first responders who
protect our communities and our country at home and abroad. This week, the CFO
also warned
Floridians to take caution as temperatures drop to this weekend.
CFO Jimmy Patronis said, “Christmas is an amazing time of year and a chance to reflect on all of our blessings. As a father of two boys, there is nothing better than experiencing the joys of the holiday season with your friends
and family. For those on the nice list, don’t miss out on watching Santa’s progress in real-time by getting updates from the NORAD Santa Tracker. As State Fire Marshal,
I’m reminding you to fully extinguished your fireplace on Christmas Eve so Santa doesn’t get a surprise when delivering presents to your home this year. In all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, I also encourage Floridians to take
a moment to thank the brave men and women who are working around the clock to keep us safe. Our first responders, firefighters, and military members answer the call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and need our support and prayers as they work to
protect us while we gather together with loved ones. Without their service, we wouldn't be able to enjoy the holidays here at home. From my family to yours, I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!”
