TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis reappoints Sophia E. Eccleston to the Florida Commission on the Status of Women. Her new term expires December 31, 2023.
 
CFO Jimmy Patronis said, "I am proud to reappoint Sophia E. Eccleston to the Florida Commission on the Status of Women to continue her to work to provide broad insight to the matters most critical to women and their families. Sophia has a background of serving not only the Sunshine State in multiple capacities, but also our country in our military.”
 
Sophia E. Eccleston said, "As a veteran who have served this country, I’m honored to be appointed by CFO Jimmy Patronis to continue my service to the causes of women in our great state of Florida.”
 
Eccleston served for over four years in the military on both active and reserve duty. While in the military, she supported the peacekeeping mission in Bosnia. Currently, Eccleston is the External Affairs Manager for Florida Power & Light Company in Palm Beach County.
