TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis released the following statement on President Donald Trump today signing the extension of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund into law:

“Thank you, President Trump, for taking action today to protect our brave first responders and those impacted by 9/11. On this horrific day, terrorists brutally and deliberately attacked our nation, and brave men and women ran toward great danger without hesitation. While we can never repay them, this law guarantees compensation of 9/11 survivor claims and our nation's everlasting support of these heroes. We must never forget the sacrifices made that day.”
