TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis is updating Floridians on Hurricane Dorian preparation and response efforts. Floridians are urged to call CFO Patronis' Insurance Help Line at 1-877-MY-FL-CFO for disaster preparedness insurance and financial assistance and to report post-storm fraud and scams.
CFO Jimmy Patronis said, “As we continue to monitor the path of Hurricane Dorian, it's vital that Floridians take this storm seriously and prepare now. With the area of impact still unpredictable, the entire state must prepare for the possibility of strong winds, storm surge, and widespread flooding. DO NOT WAIT. Discuss your emergency plan with family and friends and make sure you have the necessary hurricane supplies on hand.
