TALLAHASSEE, Fla.— After Launching Fraud Free Florida, an initiative aimed at better coordinating collective investigative efforts to protect Floridians from scam artists, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis is continuing this mission. Arrests were announced today in an investment scam that targeted older Floridians. The case was jointly investigated by the United States Secret Service and the Office of Financial Regulation, which falls under the oversight of CFO Patronis and is administratively housed within his Department of Financial Services.
