CFO Patronis: Historic Job Growth Fueling Economic Recovery
7/2/2020
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis issued a statement following a Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics report that the U.S. economy added 4.8 million jobs in June and the nationwide unemployment rate dropped to 11.1 percent.
CFO Jimmy Patronis said, “Fantastic news today of historic job growth in June shows that the American people are resilient and are working every day to recover from this pandemic. There is no doubt that this year has been challenging but America’s small businesses are the backbone of our economy and to see these store fronts safely reopen is an encouraging sign that hopefully the worst of the government economic shutdown is behind us. I’m thankful to the Trump Administration for balanced leadership that put safety first while giving our small business owners a fighting chance to recover, make a living, and support their employees and our communities.”
