CFO Patronis: Serving on “Reopen Florida Task Force” Will be Another Opportunity to Obtain Important Economic and State Budget Information
4/21/2020
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis issued the following statement on being appointed to the Governor’s “Reopen Florida Task Force.”
CFO Jimmy Patronis said, “Serving on the Governor’s new 'Reopen Florida Task Force' is an opportunity to discuss our state’s economic challenges as well as the tools available to address those challenges with other statewide elected officials and the policy decision-makers. This week, the Department of Revenue should also have partial March revenue collection information in hand. This March data will be another important piece in the puzzle of how the COVID-19 virus and response efforts are affecting our economy and state budget. The more information we have, the better we can make decisions to help Florida’s economy return to normal as quickly as possible. I continue to share the data I get with the Revenue Estimating Conference members.”
