- Please be advised that the Long Term Care requirement is a federal mandate and compliance with that mandate is not regulated by the Florida Department of Financial Services. The Long Term Care requirement is enforced by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation and regulation of the requirement is passed down to the insurer or carrier. Please contact the OIR or your carriers for further information. Please also be advised that the Long Term Care requirement and your Continuing Education compliance requirement are independent of one another. Thus, you do not have to complete a long term care course to fulfill your CE requirement.
