Florida's public assistance programs are meant to help our most vulnerable families bounce back from difficult times. Some programs have sufficient funding but all the funds come from the same source: the taxpayer. It is everyone's responsibility to report fraud. Public assistance fraud hurts our fellow Floridians who need assistance. Each one of these programs plays a crucial role in aiding members of our communities in their greatest time of need. As the state with the second largest population of public assistance participants in the nation, every dollar counts.
