TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) & State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis gave remarks during the Florida Fire Service Day at the Florida Capitol. Florida Fire Service Day is an opportunity for the public to learn about the unique and varied services of the Florida fire service and featured fire departments and fire service organizations from across the state.
CFO & State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis said, “I was honored to highlight the tremendous dedication and selfless service of Florida’s fire service community today at Florida Fire Service Day at the Capitol. Florida firefighters and fire professionals work every day to keep our communities safe, leaving their own families behind to protect others. It’s not just a job, it’s a calling and the State of Florida is so happy they answer this call. We don’t have good schools, a good economy, and an amazing quality of life in our state without these first responders working around the clock to protect us. As State Fire Marshal, I’ve seen firsthand their heroic efforts in our states greatest times of need and I thank our Legislators, Fire Chiefs, emergency management personnel, and fire service families for attending Fire Service Day at the Capitol and supporting these amazing first responders.”
