JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Today, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Blaise Ingoglia visited the City of Jacksonville to visit with local government review teams from Florida DOGE (Florida Agency for Fiscal Oversight) and to highlight the importance of the local government spending reviews. While he was visiting, the Jacksonville City Council voted to reduce taxes and pass important savings onto taxpayers.
“It is only day one of the DOGE review of Jacksonville and already they have voted to cut taxes,” said Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia. “This proves that accountability delivers real results. Floridians deserve transparency and they deserve answers from their government. With our team on the job, the era of bloated budgets and reckless spending is coming to an end.”
“Jacksonville taxpayers have shouldered the burden of a ballooning city budget for far too long,” said Jacksonville City Council President Kevin Carrico. “This property tax cut is a much-needed step towards restoring balance and putting families first. I’m grateful for the partnership between the City Council and CFO Ingoglia’s Florida DOGE team—working together to identify waste, rein in spending, and deliver real relief to the people we serve.”
“As Chair of Duval DOGE, I’m proud to partner with the Florida DOGE initiative to deliver tax relief to Jacksonville residents,” said Jacksonville City Council Member Ronald Salem. “Our committee has already identified over $20 million in unspent funds, and I’m working alongside my finance committee colleagues to convert additional budget efficiencies into lower property taxes. This is not politics—its about putting taxpayer dollars to better use while reducing the burden on homeowners.”
“Awesome to have CFO Blaise Ingoglia and the Florida DOGE on the ground in Jax and help us provide property tax relief to Jacksonville families this morning,” said Jacksonville City Council Member Rory Diamond.
