Notice of Receivership

On August 29, 2003, Superior Insurance Company (“Superior) was placed into receivership for the purpose of rehabilitation by order of the Second Judicial Circuit Court in Leon County, Florida. The Florida Department of Financial Services, Division of Rehabilitation and Liquidation is the court appointed Receiver of Superior. The basis for Superior's consent to receivership was not the financial impairment or insolvency of the company. Superior consented to be placed into rehabilitation in order for the Department to better assist the company in meeting its statutory and other obligations.

As of November 15, 2013, the Rehabilitation of Superior Insurance Company was terminated and the Receiver discharged. Per Court Order, more than $11.8 million dollars will be transferred to the Clerk of the United States District Court for Southern Indiana. As this was a rehabilitation, there were no claims reports or distributions. All claimants have been paid in the normal course of business in all states. All corporate existence is dissolved.

Estate Closed

The Department was discharged of all of its responsibilities in administering this estate and the estate was closed at 11:59 PM on November 15, 2013.
