Our law enforcement professionals have been battling the scourge of catalytic converter theft for some time, and this legislation will provide more teeth in the fight to prevent these types of crimes. I am confident that this legislation will close loopholes in the law and provide better protections for Florida consumers.”
Senator Jim Boyd said, “The theft of catalytic converters has been rampant throughout the state of Florida and this good legislation will help bring bad actors to justice. I was proud to sponsor this bill in the Senate and appreciate CFO Patronis for lending his support to this bill and his efforts to keep Florida safe.”
