PHOTO RELEASE: Chief Financial Officer and State Fire Marshal Blaise Ingoglia Visits Washington, Holmes, and Escambia Counties Following Hurricane Isaias

10/12/2026
PENSACOLA, FLA. – Yesterday, Chief Financial Officer and State Fire Marshal Blaise Ingoglia toured Hurricane Isaias-damaged areas and met with Panhandle Sheriffs to receive updates on storm response and recovery efforts. The CFO also toured the Emergency Operations Centers (EOC) in Washington, Holmes and Escambia Counties and met with staff who have been working around the clock to help impacted residents.

Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia said, “I am here for Floridians in the Panhandle every step of the way. Recovery does not happen just in the days after a storm; it will be a long process, but I am committed to standing with the communities impacted by Hurricane Isaias and providing whatever support that I can. I want to thank every single Sheriff, Emergency Manager, and all of the EOC staff who have worked tirelessly to get their communities back on their feet.”

In Washington County, the CFO received an update from EOC staff on emergency operations, power restoration and public works facilities and met with Sheriff Kevin Crews to discuss Washington County storm recovery efforts.

In Holmes County, the CFO visited a Point of Distribution (POD) and helped to pass out supplies, including water, ice, and non-perishable food to hurricane-impacted residents alongside Sheriff John Tate. The CFO also received an update from EOC staff on hurricane response efforts. The CFO then visited First Baptist Bonifay Church to help prepare and serve food to hurricane-impacted residents, public works employees, and first responders who were working to support the community’s recovery.

The CFO then officially opened the first Insurance Assistance Hub following Hurricane Isaias, in just 36 hours after landfall. The fastest an Insurance Hub has ever been established.

The CFO ended the day in Escambia County where he toured hurricane-damaged areas and received updates on hurricane response and recovery efforts from Sheriff Chip Simmons and EOC staff, including updates on power restoration, hospitals and public works.
