Notice of Receivership

​On August 31, 2012, AvaHealth, Inc. d/b/a Key Insurance Plan (AvaHealth) was ordered into receivership for purposes of liquidation by the Second Judicial Circuit Court in Leon County, Florida. The Florida Department of Financial Services, Division of Rehabilitation and Liquidation is the court appointed Receiver of AvaHealth. AvaHealth was previously ordered into receivership for purposes of rehabilitation effective July 2, 2012.

Background Information

​AvaHealth, a Florida corporation licensed in 2005, was headquartered in Tampa, Florida. The company was authorized to transact business in the state of Florida as a domestic insurer. AvaHealth wrote health insurance in Florida. AvaHealth had approximately 1,200 policies in-force as of the time of liquidation.


On July 28, 2014, Judge Angela C. Dempsey signed an Order discharging the Receiver from any and all duties, obligations, and liabilities in the administration of the AvaHealth estate as of 11:59:59 P.M. on July 31, 2014.
