Course Description
Trench Rescue Level I & II is a course designed to train the rescuer in trench rescue and recovery. This course meets or exceeds NFPA 1006 Chapters 5, 8.1 & 8.2.

Pre-Requisites
Rope Rescue Operations Level &
Personnel who are members of a Florida State sponsored US&R team who are to be trained to the Trench & Excavation Operations Level, must have understanding of NFPA 1670 11.2 Trench & Excavation Awareness Level prior to starting the Operations Level Training. At a successful completion of the Operations Level, the candidate will have an understanding of the functions and developments of NFPA 1670 11.3
Florida Urban Search and Rescue System Information
Florida Urban Search and Rescue System will conduct operations at technical rescue incidents safely and effectively based on hazard analysis, risk assessment, training level of personnel, and availability of internal and external resources.
