Course Description
Structural Collapse Level I is a course designed to train the rescuer operating in a collapsed building of light construction. This course meets or exceeds NFPA 1006 Chapter 5, & 9.1.

Rope Rescue Technician
Confined Space Technician
Vehicle and Machinery Technician
Trench and Excavation Technician
Personnel who are members of a Florida State sponsored US&R team who are to be trained to the Operations Level for Structural Collapse must have understanding of NFPA 1670 5-2 Structural Collapse Awareness level prior to starting the Operations level training. At a successful completion of the Operations level, the candidate will have an understanding of the functions and developments of NFPA 1670 5.3.
Florida Urban Search and Rescue System Information
Florida Urban Search and Rescue System will conduct operations at technical rescue incidents safely and effectively based on hazard analysis, risk assessment, training level of personnel, and availability of internal and external resources.
