Claims Consultant Preforming Public Adjuster Services Without a License

The Florida Department of Financial Services received a report that an individual identifying themselves as a "claims consultant" was performing services consistent with a public adjuster without a license. Included in these services were analysis and submission of claims documentation and sending "adjuster" estimates. Always verify the licensure of a public adjuster by visiting the Department's website at https://licenseesearch.fldfs.com/.

Unlicensed Insurance Agency

A consumer reported to the Department of Financial Services that they signed up for an insurance plan in August of 2024 through an insurance agency but the consume states that the agency was not licensed to conduct business in Florida.
