Learning Opportunities
The Division of Accounting & Auditing provides training to state agencies and vendors. The Division provides resources to enable customers to have greater knowledge, skills, and understanding for fiscal management.
Training materials for Accounting includes information related to standardized data that describes the information of state businesses for tracking and reporting purposes. It provides agencies the foundational structure of accounting within the Florida state government systems.
Codes
Training materials for Accounting Codes will include lists of General Ledger Codes, Statewide Expenditure Object Codes, New Account Codes, Component Units List, and Funds List.
Payable
Training materials for Accounts Payable includes information related to settling state liabilities.
Training materials for Accounts Receivable includes information related to asset creation to recording revenues.
Training materials for Contracts includes information related to best practices, responsibilities, and obligations for contract management associated with Florida Statutes 287.058 and 215.971.
Reporting
Training materials for the Bureau of Financial Reporting that includes information to help provide an understanding of the financial reports compiled by the state to include the ACFR, SEFA and SWCAP. There is a review of forms, timelines, guidance documents, and other important information related to these financial reports.
Also included are the training material for Debt Collection. The information includes resource documents, and guidance on F.S. 17.20 reporting, account receivables placement practices, portfolio monitoring and other relevant debt collection practices.
