This rule workshop will consider public input on changes to the above-reference rule based on recent legislative changes in section 1 of chapter 2020-180, Laws of Florida.

The Department of Financial Services announces a hearing to which all persons are invited. This hearing will consider public input on the proposed changes to the above-referenced rule.

The purpose and effect of the proposed rule is to update the Health Care Provider Reimbursement Manual (HCP RM) and other incorporated materials. The HCP RM contains the updated lists of Maximum Reimbursement Allowances for various medical services, as approved by the Three-Member Panel on December 17, 2020, pursuant to section 440.13(12)(a), Florida Statutes.

The proposed amendments will update the rules to incorporate recent legislative changes to section 627.7015, F.S.; clarify the procedures for requesting mediation and conducting a mediation conference; update forms; and incorporate the 2018 version of the Florida Rules for Certified and Court-Appointed Mediators by reference. The proposed amendments will update the rules to incorporate recent legislative changes to chapter 554, F.S., and to update existing forms and incorporate several new forms by reference. The State Boiler Code will be updated to incorporate the 2017 edition of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code by reference; incorporate the 2018 edition of the ASME CSD-1, Controls and Safety Devices for Automatically Fired Boilers, by reference; incorporate the 2017 edition of the National Board Inspection Code by reference; and incorporate the 2018 edition of the ASME B31.1, Power Piping, by reference. Rule 69A-51.035, F.A.C., is repealed.

The proposed rule amendment will update the form for reporting the contents of a safe deposit box to the Division of Unclaimed Property.

Section 633.408, F.S., requires the Division of State Fire Marshal to establish by rule a Minimum Standards Course and course examination to provide training required to obtain a Firefighter Certificate of Compliance. The proposed amendments will update and clarify the current training criteria set forth in Rule 69A-37.056, F.A.C.
