This rule workshop will consider public input on changes to the above-reference rule based on recent legislative changes in section 1 of chapter 2020-180, Laws of Florida.

The Department of Financial Services announces a hearing to which all persons are invited. This hearing will consider public input on the proposed changes to the above-referenced rule.

The purpose and effect of the proposed rule is to update the Health Care Provider Reimbursement Manual (HCP RM) and other incorporated materials. The HCP RM contains the updated lists of Maximum Reimbursement Allowances for various medical services, as approved by the Three-Member Panel on December 17, 2020, pursuant to section 440.13(12)(a), Florida Statutes.

The proposed amendments will update the rules to incorporate recent legislative changes to section 627.7015, F.S.; clarify the procedures for requesting mediation and conducting a mediation conference; update forms; and incorporate the 2018 version of the Florida Rules for Certified and Court-Appointed Mediators by reference.
