Agent Signed Up Consumer For Life Insurance Policies Without Consent

A Palm Beach county woman contacted the Department of Financial Services about two life insurance policies under her name and her husband's name. Both policies were purchased without their consent. After contacting the Department, the insurance company canceled both policies and issued a premium refund. The policy documents had several inaccuracies including the consumer's address and the policy beneficiary was listed as his spouse when they were unknown to him.
