State Liability Claims

We have two primary responsibilities:

  1. Adjust (investigate, evaluate, deny, settle or defend) claims filed against state of Florida agencies under four statutorily required insurance coverages: general liability, automobile liability, federal civil rights and employment discrimination and court awarded attorney fee coverage (see Chapter 284, Part II, F.S.).

  2. Enter notices of claim and service of process filed against subdivisions of the state of Florida into the claims administration system. (see s. 768.28 (6) (a) and (7), F.S.)

Court Reporters The Office of Attorney General is authorized to competitively bid and contract with one or more court reporting services on a circuit-wide basis, on behalf of all state agencies. These contracts allow state agencies to procure, at a low price, such services without the administrative efforts necessary to select and hire court reporting services individually.
